half empty or half full?

Take a look at this picture. If I asked you if the glass was half empty or half full, what would you answer? Is there a right answer?

It all depends on your perspective. Looking at something being half empty is like being negative about something, looking at the glass and thinking that it is already nearly empty. Looking at it as half full is taking a more positive approach, thinking of the glass as still being nearly full.

Trying new things can often be difficult, and it is a challenge, but where is the use in complaining? Negativity will get you nowhere. How about having a more positive attitude in life, and taking things as they go? Go into things with a smile on your face, being ready to face whatever is being thrown at you. That is the best way forward.

So it's nearly summer, and I know you're all going to be hitting the beach very soon! Here's some of the looks I'm loving right now!

 

Obviously, there are the regular bikinis, with two straps. A cute white one is shown in the picture above!

 Then, there are the bikinis with the neck strap, which are my personal favorites! They are great for a beach look, and often the straps are removable - a great look for tanning;)

 

Bandeau bikinis are very cute and in style at the moment. This look is more for tanning, rather than swimming:P

 

Of course, you can wear a one-piece as well... either cut open in places like the image shows, or not(:

 These dress/shirts are sold in almost all stores! They are good for preventing sunburn too, so they keep you safe AND stylish!

 Beach dresses look adorable, especially with cute designs. Just choose any dress (or skirt) and wear it with your swimsuit this summer!

 Big baggy shirts are not only cute on the streets, they are practical for the beach too! They are availible everywhere, and come in the cutest designs!



FLIPS FLOOOOPS are a MUST for summer, and look adorable in any color!

BOOK REVIEWWW: Red Scarf Girl:)

This could possibly be one of the saddest, most beautiful and heart-warming books I have ever read. The true story takes place in Communist China, at the time of the Cultural Revolution. Ji-Li is a young girl who is forced to live through terribly tough times and starts to doubt whether her life is really what she thought it was.

When Ji-Li finds out she cannot join the Red Successors because her dad told her it would not be good idea, she wonders why. At this time, she did not even imagine what was going on in her family. She was growing up with her brother and sister, mom, dad and grandma. She becomes humiliated in front of her whole class when she is told that her grandfather was a landlord, expoliting guiltless farmers. This class status stops her from being liked by any of her classmates and forces her to blame herself for her family's past. Her life goes from bad to worse as a poster (called a da-zi-bao) says that she had a relationship with her math teacher. It obviously isn't true. Later in the book, her dad is locked up and taken away because of false accusations that he was caught listening to foreign radio, a sin in China at this time. Her house is searched for weapons and her whole life is torn apart when she finds a letter that complained about the situation her entire family was in.

This book really touched me as one of the most beautiful stories anyone could ever read. It opened my eyes as to what our world was and still is like, and really made me think about how people are treated, and the unfairness of this. I actually read this book for school, and am so glad I did, as it would not have been a story I would pick up on a regular bookshelf. Although this is not a genre I am particularly open to, or educated about, I really enjoyed reading this story, and would love to learn more about the world through memoirs like this. I recommend this book to anyone from the age of 11 or 12, up the the age of 100, this story will never get old.

It's nearly summer and I'm waaaay too excited:) Here are some of the new trends I've been lovinggg<3

I've been seeing a LOT of white shorts lately... and they're super cute:)

PINNNNK POWER:) add some style to your shorts by wearing bright colors;)

 Ripped denimmm shorts are amazing:D I've seen a lot recently, and they look absolutely adorable:)

 Checkered shirts are really cute! I love wearing them open over tank tops and with shorrrts, like Jessica S in the pic;) Hollister have some super awesome shirts right now!

Cropped tops are really fashionable atm, especially for dance and tanning:) I wear them over tank tops for school though;) hahah!

 As you can see, white is on the runway a lot right now! I love these dresses, but couldn't own one... two seconds after wearing, there would be a huge ketchup stain;) but I do love these designssss:)

 HIGH WAISTED PANTS ARE REALLY IN:D I don't own any, but would love to get some high waisted shorrrts;)

Cheryl Cole has even recently stepped out in high waisted paaants:) PURPLE ONES:D
